Everrati’s Latest 911 Is A Viper We’re Green With Envy Over

25 March 2025

It’s a Porsche 911 with electric power that’s called Viper. Confused? Don’t be. The Viper Commission is the latest restoration and electric upgrade from UK electrification experts Everrati that absolutely transforms a 964-generation 911.

The name comes from the customer’s choice of paint, and it has nothing to do with the Dodge beast of the same name. It’s from Porsche’s Viper Green, aka vipergrün, a color that was available on the spiritual ancestor of today’s GT3 RS, the legendary Carrera 2.7 RS, and is now Paint To Sample.

Everrati’s slogan is “electrifying icons,” and that’s exactly what it does. It goes beyond similar restomods and reimaginings from other specialists like Singer, and sticks electric motors where gas engines used to live. It does the trick to not just Porsches, but classic Benz models, Land Rovers, and even a GT40 replica and more.

Like most of its builds, this started as a 964-generation Porsche 911. It’s a Signature car, which means it has a wider body than other 911s. It also gets an extensive array of carbon fiber panels replacing the factory steel.

The car is completely restored before the upgrades start, with incredible attention to detail outside before bespoke re-working inside. The cabin uses black leather with grey stripes to help match the outside’s accents, and a green stripe on the wheel to match the paint. Electric-specific gauges match the original dials, and the center tachometer is replaced with a kWh power delivery meter.

Because where once lived an air-cooled flat-six, now lives an electric motor. Everrati’s Signature models deliver sub-four-second 0-60 mph times, thanks to 500 horsepower from the company’s proprietary system. A Quaife torque-biasing rear differential helps ensure that the power is sent to both rear tires.

Battery capacity is 62 kWh, helping to deliver 200 miles of range, but keeping the car as light as possible. It can, at least, charge in a hurry thanks to CCS Level 3 capability.

Classic Green Paint Is A Nod To Owner’s Green Efforts

The Viper Green exterior shade is a classic Porsche color, and it looks stunning on this vintage machine. Green, though, was more than just a paint choice. It’s meant to represent the owner’s own green path.

Everrati says that “the owner is a leader in impact investing and sustainability, dedicated to tackling global challenges such as climate change and social inequality.” He’s used his finance background to “pioneer investments that not only yield returns but also drive positive social and environmental change.” They’ve clearly worked, because this is one heck of a ride.

Is converting an air-cooled 911 to electric power sacrilege? Maybe. But is the result a much more usable and, therefore, enjoyable sports car? Everrati’s growing list of customers suggests that’s a firm yes.
