Everrati has been modifying Porsche vehicles for a few years now, but they are back with their newest creation: the Lighthouse Commission. This thoughtfully electrified 1990 Porsche 911 (964) takes one of the hottest sports cars of the 90s and gives it nearly double the power, along with some other modern updates.
Everrati made this one-of-a-kind 911 for a customer in Canada after its recent expansion to the area. It started life as a 1990 left-hand drive 911 964 widebody coupe, and now lives as an electric vehicle. It has 500 horsepower and a zero to 60 MPH time of under 3.7 seconds, thanks to Everrati’s proprietary Performance Package. The original car had about 247 horsepower from the 3.6-liter flat-six, which is an impressive feat for the company. Sure, it might upset the purists, but we must persevere.
In order to optimize performance, Everrati focused on keeping the weight down. They kept the 964’s rear-biased weight distribution but used carbon fiber for weight-saving wherever they could. The 911 964 maintains its legendary driving experience but offers smoother, more responsive power delivery. It also received an adaptive suspension system to enhance the ride quality and handling.
Everrati Wanted To Maintain The 911 Of It All
The emphasis on keeping what makes the 911 964 so great helped Everrati create something extraordinary. When possible, they maintained the cues, features, and analog elements from the 1990 car and upgraded areas that improved performance and weight. Even the rear lights are meant to look like the original but are upgraded with modern LEDs. Fuchs-style wheels paired with custom dials look like the classic 964 but stay in line with the electric changes.
“The new Everrati Lighthouse is so much more than a visual masterpiece; this vehicle is designed for real-world use. The client challenged us to create a vehicle that captures the timeless, enduring appeal of the 964 while delivering reliability with daily, year-round driving in mind,” said Everrati Founder & CEO Justin Lunny.
Lunny went on to say Everrati is focused on redefining icons for a new era, which is what the Lighthouse Commission is all about.
Everrati’s Carte Blanche Program
The new Carte Blanche program allows clients to create their dream EV in any way they would like. Aston Martin’s former Chief Designer of Colour and Materials is heading up the program, bringing plenty of experience and expertise to the company.
The Lighthouse Commission was the first customer vehicle delivered to Vancouver, British Columbia, as part of Everrati’s expansion into the area. Some of the other cars they work with include the Mercedes-Benz W113 SL, Land Rover Series IIa, Superformance GT40, and a few other Porsche 911 models.
