Electric Porsche 911, better than the original? Well, this is awkward. The Porsche CEO recently said: “The concept of the 911 doesn’t allow for a pure electric car because we have the engine in the rear and if the weight of the battery were moved to the rear you couldn’t drive the car. For this decade it’s very clear to me that the 911 will be a car with an ICE.” And yet, the clever guys and girls at Everrati have created a ‘Signature’ wide-body 911 to make us all drool. Now obviously, not that many of us will be able to afford this car, but we think it’s very existence can create converts to electric. And that can only be a good thing.

The car was revealed during an exclusive event at the Joe Macari supercar showroom in south west London. The all-electric 911 has 500hp, a 0-60mph time of under four seconds, a range of over 150 miles and even a smartphone-controlled artificial exhaust note.
